- Cup/mug cozies, and pot covers.
Crochet Joining Motifs
- Crochet joins can be made on RS or WS, depending on the preferred join appearance, with options including simple Sl St or SC, or more complex Ch braid joins.
- Another option for quick and efficient construction is JAYG in the last rnd.
- Refer to YouTube video for several joining options using a crochet hook.
Bags
A sample of Square Bag Diagrams of various shapes and sizes will be provided in the PDF (when this is available).
An example diagram is provided for the pictured example project.
Notes:
- Bags should be lined if intended for use with very small objects.
- The gold colour represents the front of the bag and the brown colour the reverse side of the bag.
- Where a motif contains both colours, it should be folded in half so that the gold half is at the front of the bag and the brown half is on the reverse side of the bag.

Square Motif Bag
- Yarn: Cleckheaton Country 8ply Wool (DK/Cat. 3) in white, pink and lolly pink, ~190g/6.75Oz in total. Recommend 2 50g balls of each shade to cater for various tension.
- Hook: 4mm/G/6.
- Motifs: 15 squares – 5 rounds completed for each square.
- Motif Join Method: Motifs joined after completion. SC join in white colour using FL and BL of corresponding stitches from both motifs.
- Bag Diagram: Square Motif Bag Diagram 4.
- Bag Size: ~19cm/7.5in from base of bag to centre opening, ~24cm/9.5in max width.
- Bag Ties: Made using all three strands/colours held together. Ties made during fin rnd around the top opening of bag using Surface Sl St (front post Sl St around each st so that both FL and BL are unused). Make as follows: Ch a length of ~19cm/7.5in (first tie made), Surface Sl St into first st on front side of bag at middle opening/top of bag (joining the tie to the bag), Surface Sl St in each following st around until reaching middle opening again, Ch a length of ~19cm/7.5in (second tie made). Add additional loops of yarn to the first Ch of first tie and last Ch of second tie (to make a tassel with thickness according to preference). Tie a knot in each tie just above the tassel. An optional circular tie holder can be made by: Ch 4, Sl St into first Ch (circle made), Ch 1, 10 or 12 SC into circle, Invis Join into first SC. Pull ties through circle and adjust so that circle is flush with bag.
- Handle: Twisted Puff design using all three strands (for three colours) held together, ~44.5cm/17.5in in length. Ensure sufficient beg yarn tail length to later sew handle end to bag. If preferred, work one less yo [ ] rep for less full Puff. Make handle as follows: Ch 3, Puff in third Ch from hook, turn, Ch 1, Puff in beg Ch 2 Sp, *turn, Ch 1, Puff in Ch 1 Sp, rep from * until handle is sufficient length. Fasten off yarn leaving sufficient fin yarn tail to sew handle end to bag. Sew handle to tip of each square on both sides of bag.
