The Granny Stash Buster Cup Cosy/Cozy is a fun and satisfying project. These cosies/cozies will fly off the hook and are ideal for using up all your odds and ends of DK/8ply yarn. Only ~10-12g/0.4Oz yarn is used per cosy/cozy.
Keep one handy in your bag to project your hands from piping hot coffee. These are especially fabulous for glass or ceramic keep cups.
Great for last minute gifts, RAOK crochet drops, and market stall stock.

Pattern Instructions – Traditional Granny Square Cosy
Note:
- Beg Sl St, beg Ch 1/Ch 2 and fin Sl St do not count as a st for st count purposes.
- If changing colours each round, join new colour directly into any Ch 3 Sp corner and omit instruction to Sl St into first Ch 3 Sp.
- All st in ( ) will be made in the one/same st or ch sp from the previous round.
- St in { } and [ ] will be repeated the number of times specified by the pattern instructions. [ ] repeats within a { } repeat.
- A st count follows each round on a separate line in ( ).
- If joining squares by any method other than JAYG (i.e. by sewing or crocheting fully made squares together), make two squares as per Square One instructions, then join the squares as per Join Squares instruction.
- If joining squares by JAYG, make one square as per Square One and the second square as per Square Two instructions. Skip the Join Squares instruction as the Square Two instructions will directly join the second square to the first, whilst the second square is being constructed. Refer to YouTube video for visual demo of the written JAYG method documented in this pattern: https://youtu.be/9s5lDNUY3Aw.
- If an extra snug fit is preferred at the base of the cosy substitute 2 DC for each 3 DC along the base/bottom edge of the final round of each square.
