Boho Swirl coasters are a sweet coaster design that is charming and on-trend and is fun and quick to make.

A great stash-buster project that is perfect for recovering lost ‘crojo’, or for those thoughtful, last-minute gifts.

Made in 6 to 7 rounds (depending on chosen border design).

Four border options included: Bloom, Shabby Chic, Ornate, and Starburst. Bloom is available for free on this Blog and the other borders are available in the Ravelry pdf.

Pattern Instructions

Note:

  • Follow the Swirl instructions first, and then the instructions for Bloom border.
  • All rounds up to and including the Complete Spiral Sequence are worked as a continuous spiral.
  • Stitch markers can optionally be used to mark the start of each continuous spiral round.
  • Stitch increases in spiral rounds are always made in the second stitch of the stitch increase from the previous round.
  • Beg ch 1, beg sl st, and fin sl st do not count as a stitch, except where indicated.
  • { } represents a st sequence that is repeated as per the instructions.
  • Multiple st within ( ) should be made in the one st or sp.
  • A st count for each round immediately follows the round instructions in ( ).
  • The third loop (to work 3lo st) is located at the back/reverse side of the st, behind, and approximately parallel with the back loop of the st. This is most easily located by slightly folding forwards/curling over the edge of the circle so that the reverse of the circle can be seen (as well as the front and back loops of the st).
